FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chippewa Township Residents Urged to help PLAN CHIPPEWA! by completing a Community Survey
Chippewa Township officials, together with the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, have started the process of updating the township’s Comprehensive Plan. Chippewa Township’s current comprehensive plan was completed in 2010 and it was deemed time by community officials to update it to reflect new trends, resources, and best practices.
The purpose of the Plan is to create a shared vision for the community to preserve and build on its heritage while giving direction for desirable growth and preservation efforts. The new Plan will help community officials in areas such as community services and facilities, land use, natural resources, environment, parks and recreation, and infrastructure like roads, water/sewer services.
Beginning on November 7, 2022 residents will be able to participate in an online survey. The survey asks residents, business owners and other community stakeholders questions relative to their thoughts about the community.
In addition to the survey, community members will be able to participate in a community forum held sometime in early 2023. The entire process will take roughly nine months and should be ready for adoption by May 2023.
Reveille, a firm that specializes in planning, economic development and comprehensive community solutions, will assist a steering committee comprised of community representatives in updating the comprehensive plan.
Printed copies of the survey can also be obtained at the Chippewa Township Hall, 14228 Galehouse Road, Doylestown, Ohio 44230.

Chippewa Township has selected IGS Energy of Dublin, Ohio as the supplier of natural gas to participants in its Natural Gas Aggregation Program. Your participation in the aggregation program for Chippewa Township will begin within one or two billing periods after enrollment with Dominion Energy Ohio (DEO) and end with your October 2024 billing period.
